So when I first heard that Dwayne Johnson was starring in a movie that I had never heard about, I wasn't too excited. Then I read the movie's plot, and remained unimpressed; then this trailer came out. Let me just say, I want to see this movie!
This movie isn't going to be one of those movies that stick with you throughout time where you can just look back and think: "Wow, what an amazing movie." Because that's not what this movie is aiming for; this movie will hopefully be one great disaster movie. Now I myself love the disaster genre, I love movies like The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, I even surprisingly enjoyed last years Into The Storm. Watching this trailer makes me hope it reaches the levels of Twister, (which is by far my favorite disaster movie by far!) and I feel that it has potential to be just as good!
Of course, when it comes to natural disaster movies, there is some unexplainable scientific phenomenon at play; and that's usually what detracts people from the story, which is the one fear I have about this movie. Maybe they'll clarify a few questions during the movie, but I mean that scene where they're in the boat trying to make it over the wave? That to me is a bit much, but nevertheless I'm curious to see how good this movie may actually be! Well that's my review on the 2nd trailer for San Andreas, as always - be sure to check in regularly for more Daily David Movies!
