Synopsis:
"Bilbo and Company are forced to engage in a war against an array of combatants and keep the Lonely Mountain from falling into the hands of a rising darkness." - IMDB
My Review:
The end of Middle Earth has come - and what a great ride it was! This franchise has been of the true greats!
Acting: So at this point, we should all be pretty familiar with the cast - seeming as we've seen them for 1-2 movies already. As always, I feel that they did a fantastic job! However, there were a few performances that I wanted to acknowledge because they were spectacular! I felt that with this final installment, Richard Armitage gave it his all, and he was absolutely amazing! I had always appreciated what he did, but I feel that due to the story - was never really able to connect to his character. I think he pulled off the "Dragon Sickness" extremely well!If you saw my review for "Dracula Untold" you probably were able to see that I'm a big fan of Luke Evans - and I loved him here! I thought the way he portrayed Bard as just a man of the people, was perfect! I also really enjoyed Lee Pace and Martin Freeman in the movie!
Directing: I think that only Peter Jackson would have been able to do justice to the culmination of the Hobbit trilogy
Story:
Conclusion:
I enjoyed this movie so much, and I feel that this is good enough to buy on DVD - or if you're a diehard fan of the Hobbit Trilogy, or just the Middle Earth Saga, I would say buy it on Blu-Ray! Overall I give "The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" a 7 out of 10 for it's acting, directing, and story! As always, be sure to check in regularly for more Daily David Movies!
